Pickle Brine Recipes

After you've made some pickles it's time to get creative with our Take-and-Make pickle pouche leftover brine and spices.

Smokey Habanero Pickle Brine Pork Chops

The Sweet and Smokey Habanero flavors make a great marinade for beef, chicken, and pork. For some tasty grilled pork chops take four chops and combine with our Take-and-Make Smokey Habanero leftover brine.

  • Prep: 7 min
  • Cook: 25 min

directions

  • Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat, and lightly oil the grate.
  • Rinse pork chops and place them in a bowl or ZipLock bag. Pour the remaining brine on top of chops. With your hands, massage the spice rub into the meat. Let marinate for at least three hours or overnight.
  • Grill the chops over indirect heat until no longer pink inside, about 12 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer should read at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C). Allow chops to stand for 10 more minutes before serving.

Gotta have this!

“These thick pork chops have a smoky flavor, are very moist and tender, and the habanero marinade is ready to go so it’s easy. A family favorite, always requested at BBQs. I like to serve these chops with  potatoes and a garden salad.”

Polish Dill Pickle Salad Dressing

Create your very own signature salad dressing. You can use all of our Take-and-Make varieties but I’m partial to Polish Dill Pickle Dressing. Just add enough olive oil to the brine to make your desired amount….YUM!

Limited and not conclusive scientific evidence suggests that eating about 2 tablespoons (23 grams) of olive oil daily may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease due to the monounsaturated fat in olive oil.

  • Prep: 7 min
  • Cook: 0 min

directions

  • Slowly add olive oil to the brine or shake all ingredients together in a small jar with a tight lid.
  • Most dressings we'll use 1 part olive oil and 3 part brine.
  • A classic vinaigrette style will us 3 to 4 parts oil (usually extra virgin olive oil) and 1 part brine.
  • Adjust amounts according to personal taste.

INSTANT classic

“Don’t toss that leftover pickle juice after you finish your pickles. Use it with summer herbs to make pickle juice salad dressing.”
